Dentistry and dental laboratory technology have changed significantly since Flud Laboratory was opened in 1955. In those first few years we were mostly an “acrylic” lab repairing and relining dentures, or setting teeth for a new set of “plates.” These days Flud fabricates everything from titanium dental implant abutments to zirconia bridges, while maintaining our reputation as a leading removable prosthetics laboratory.
Our modern facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma currently employs about 25 highly qualified technicians and support staff, all dedicated to providing dentists and patients with the highest quality dental restorations available. We use only FDA approved and American Dental Association “accepted” materials. And all our restorations are made in the U.S.A..

Todd Smith, Laboratory President
Todd began his career in 1973 after serving in the United States Air Force. A CDT in Crown and Bridge, with specialized training in all-ceramic restorations, Todd became President of Flud Dental Lab in 1996. He enjoys fishing, camping, reading, and riding his Harley.

Erin Garrett, Laboratory Administrator
Erin attended the University of Texas before beginning her career in Property Management. In 1996 she became Administrator of Flud Dental Laboratory. Erin enjoys travel, shopping, boating and jewelry design.

Chris Shipley, Office Manager
Chris grew up at Flud Dental Laboratory helping her dad, Ed Flud, build a loyal customer base throughout Oklahoma and surrounding states. After achieving her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology she returned to Flud Lab to manage the front office. She enjoys music and soccer.

Colleen Elder, CDT, Denture Team Leader
As an assistant instructor with Dr. Joseph Massad in hands-on training, Colleen helped hundreds of dentists become proficient in full denture reconstructions. Today, she continues to share her 36 years of denture experience at Flud, teaching both dentists, and our team, how to make successful dentures.

Jay Elder, CDT, Valplast Team Leader
A specialist in Partial Dentures and Valplast, Jay began his career in dental technology in 1979. He and his wife, Colleen, combined to operate a successful dental laboratory in Tulsa before they both joined Flud in 1998. Jay, our resident practical joker, also enjoys hunting and quiet time with family.

Robin Marsden, CDT, Fixed & Removable Manager
Before joining Flud in 1998, Robin operated her own dental lab. After earning her CDT in Ceramics, she quickly ascended to Ceramics Manager (2005) and recently was appointed Fixed Department Manager. In her spare time she enjoys shopping, jewelry design, and sewing.

Roger Stephens, CDT, Fixed Production Manager
With 32 year’s laboratory experience, Roger provides stability and a depth of knowledge important to developing confidence with the dental team. He continues to update his expertise as new technologies and materials are introduced. Roger enjoys antiquing, hunting and horseback riding.
